If you’re a sheep producer -
or if you have a pet lamb - be sure your name is on your county agricultural agent’s list for the free inspection for sheep scabies beginning in this county, February 4. The county agent says all sheep flocks will be inspected for scabies as the beginning step of the most intensive program eter undertaken in Virginia in an attempt to eradicate an animal disease.
A new Federal law requires all payers of interest to make a report to the Internal Revenue Service of all persons to whom ten dollars or more is paid during a calendar year. TTiis report must include the depositor’s name, address, Social Security number, as well as the amount paid. It will be most helpful if depositors will furnish us with their Social Security number, giving the exact name as shown on the Social Security card. Do not send us your Social Security Card. The Washington Methodist Church will hold its Washington’s Birthday Dinner on Friday, February 22 from 5 till 7 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall.
