Advisory committee to meet
The Special Education AdvisoryCommittee will meet at 3:30 p.m: Thursday, Jan. 28 in the elementary sehool library. The primary purpose of the meeting is to review the 1993-94 Annual Special Education Plan issued by the Virginia Department of Education and the changes it will necessitate in the Rappahannock County Special Education Poli? cies and Procedures Manual. The public is welcome. ;
Puppet show at Library f
Does the dreary weather have you feeling down? The Rappahannock Library has a solution. At 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 the Wrenwyck Homeschool Players will present “Good King Wenceslas.” Children of all ages are invited to come to this puppet show and winter story time.

Reiki healing seminar
Reiki (prounced Ray-key) is a simple yet profound healing art which is steeped in over 2,500 years of Japanese Tradition. Written about in the history of Japan and in the Buddhist sutras (sacred writings) of long ago, Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Miko Usui in the late 1800s. A workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Flint Hill on Feb. 5-7. There will be a free lecture Friday evening for those wanting to learn more about Reiki and it’s relevance in health care today. For information call Traditional Healing Arts at 703-636-3078.
Volunteers to host program
The Literacy Volunteers of Rappahannock will host a Reading with Children program at the Rappahannock Library from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25. Babysitting will be provided.
