Rappahannock voters joined their fellow Virginians in supporting George Allen for governor and James Gilmore for attorney general. County voters also joined the majority of voters in the 31st House of Delegates District in supporting Jay Katzen.

They supported Mike Farris for lieutenant governor, by a much narrower margin, while state voters were reelecting Don Beyer.

About 67 percent of Rappahannock's voters cast ballots for governor. Allen received 64 percent of the county vote to 35.3 percent for Democratic nominee Mary Sue Terry.
