Virginia Tech in Blacksburg is the site of the state meet which will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6. Approximately 120 runners will be entered in each race, and the top 15 in each will earn the title “AllState” in cross country.
Winter sports tryouts begin on Monday, November 8. The tryouts for boys’ varsity basketball will be held from 6 to 8 a.m. and 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. on November 8. Boy’s junior varsity basketball tryouts will be held from 3:20 to 4:45 p.m. on the same day. Gary Leake will be the coach for junior varsity and varsity basketball teams.
Varsity and junior varsity volleyball tryouts w ill be held from 6:15-to 8:15 p.m. on November 8. Paul Paratore will be coaching the varsity, and Emily Wingate will coach the junior varsity.
