Upon reading about the litigation that is being initiated by four Rappahannock county farmers against the county Board of Supervisors for their proposed ban against the use of hauled in sludge, I was moved to write a response, not because I have any vested financial interest in the utilization or non-utilization of this material but rather in the safety of its use and the apparent trend today to use the threat of law suits and the more and more familiar theme of deprivation of constitutional rights to gain their end.
It certainly streches ones imagation to think that the writers of our constitution intended that the interpretation of that noble document should be used to protect the right of spreading of processed human waste, human excrement, body fluids, diseased waste and other unknown countless substances that are offensive in their smell, and questional in their safety.
It would appear that the decision of the board was in the interest of all
