“Tuesday night’s game was a battle of character. The Lady Panthers did an exceptional job of maintaining their composure, and showed excellent sportsmanship,” said Coach 'Gary Leake.
After a disastrous first three quarters, when Rappahannock was still behind by 10 points, Rappahannock pulled together and beat Manassas Park 50-49. When it appeared that Rappahannock had a chance to win the game, in the last three minutes, fans erupted into screams and cheers. “We outseored them 21 to 10 in the fourth quarter, which is the most we have scored in any quarter this whole season,” stated Coach Leake.
“The team lacked emotion and leadership in the first half, and at half time I requested they become more aggressive in their defense,”
