Visitors and residents, oldtimers and newcomers are planning to join together once again in Washington to celebrate the Christmas holidays by re-enacting colonial traditions.
The rich tradition and quaint charm of historic Washington comes alive beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. The best way to start your adventure is at the information booth beside the Middle Street Gallery on the Town Square where you can gather information and begin the first person “character” tours and historic tours of the art and architecture of the town walking through the streets laid out by George himself in 1749. The tours conclude with 5:30 and 6:30 candle lit tours through the gaily decorated streets.
