Hampton District representative Mike Massie said he and his friends know the road as Jerico Road.
Frank Warner said he was unhappy with the name chosen for a lane in his area. He said he played there as a boy, and it was called “Deal’s Road.”
County Administrator John McCarthy said that the supervisors were not choosing names for private; lanes, and that Mr. Warner would need to get the people who use the road to ask to have the name changed, and the supervisors would, go along with it. “Nobody here cares,” he said.
The supervisors agreed to change the fees charged for certain items accepted at the county landfill. The fee for accepting ordinary tires will increase from $1 each to $1.50. The fee for tires larger than 20 inches will increase from $1 to $2. Tractor tires will continue at $5. Fees for loads of brush, lumber and construction materials will increase, from $5 per pick-up load to $10, from $20 for a single-axle truck to $25,
