Ed Barton said that he felt it would be improper for the Town Council to ask to stop the investigation, as it involves the Town Council. “Presumably these mailings were done to influence the election. I think it would put a cloud on this Town Council if they voted to stop the investigation. The Town Council should welcome a clean bill of health,” he said.
Frank Scott said, “If I were one of the culprits, that would be enough forme.”
