About the worst that can be said about Ollie North is that he is an opportunist and is taking advantage of a situation that arose from his highly publicized TV hearings in which he came out as a hero. You can’t blame him for that. When life hands you a lemon, make lemonade, as the saying goes. He just may do as he says he will, stir things up, and a bit of stirring would improve the Senate. There is plenty of room for improvement in both houses.
One good thing to come out of this four-way race is the fact that it will put lots of money in circulation. A whole woods full of trees will go into paper and pulp for the signs and printing jobs. Expect the word “recycled” to show up. Millions of dollars will go into TV and radio advertising around the clock. I do not expect the issues to be featured
