Benefit Mule Event Planned
A mule event will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 17 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Education Center featuring a bloomer race, pole bending race, mule jumping with three classes, barrel race, monkey race, flag race, abstacle race and cage race. There will be cash prizes and first and second place trophies. Coggins papers are required. All proceeds will benefit the 4-H Royal Rider’s Club. Canner Gauges To Be Tested

Health Screening Program
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center: Blood Pressure check by Marian Sharp at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 22 and a Program by Anne Stossmeister, RRCSB Senior Advocate at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27.

Tennis Clinics Scheduled
The Rappahannock County Park is sponsoring adult and junior tennis lessons starting with a six-week session. The junior clinics will be held Mondays and Fridays, July 15, 18 and 29 and Aug. 1, 5, 8,12, 15 and 19. Clinics for beginners will be from 8-9a.m., for intermediates 9-10a.m. and for the advanced group from 10-lla.m. The cost wil} be $6 per lesson with four juniors required to be in each group.
The adult clinics will be held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings for beginners, intermediates and advanced players. Dates will be July 13, 20, 27 and 30 and Aug. 6, 10, 13, 17 and 20. Times will be 5:30-6:30p.m. for beginners, 6:30-7:30p.m. for intermediates and 7:30-8:30p.m. for advanced. The cost will be $8 per hour with players per group.

Windmore Plans All Day Event
The Windmore Foundation for the Arts located at the Windmore Cultural Center in Griffinsburg is hosting their second annual “Field of Dreams” on Saturday, Sept. 24. This all day event includes a 5K Run, juried Art Show, entertainment, live bands, food and activities for the children. Flint Hill Carnival
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual carnival Aug. 10-13. The parade will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11. The crowning of the queen and prizes will be awarded on Saturday night with the grand prize being a Chevrolet Geo Metro.
