Ann Buchwald
Ann McGarry Buchwald, 74, a former literary agent, publicist, and fashion coordinator who was the wife of syndicated newspaper columnist Art Buchwald, died July 3 at her home in Washington.
Mrs. Buchwald was a native of Warren, Pa.
Before going to Paris, she had been a fashion director with Neiman-Marcus department stores in Dallas. She arrived in Paris in 1949 with $1,000 in traveler’s checks, half of a round-trip Paris-New York plane ticket and no ability to speak French.
