Surviving are his wife, Marie North; two sons, Bedford Lee North Jr. and John L. North, both of Flint Hill; two daughters, Donna Kester of Amissville and Dana Dawson of Linden and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Billy Clark, Gary Younkyn, Ronnie Clark, Dee Taylor, Eddie Tharpe and Jim Miller.

Mary Elizabeth Preston, 64, of Washington died July 7 at her residence. ■'
Mrs. Preston was bom Jan. 31, 1930, in Washington, D.C.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Preston of Washington; three daughters, Jeannine M. Long of Bryant Town, Md., Susan Lee Barry of Brentwood, Calif, and Teresa D. Wayland of Sperryville; one brother, Joseph V. Hall of Springfield, Md. and eight grandchildren.
