MAINTENANCE WORKER/PLANT OPERATOR

RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY

WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY

The Rappahannock County Water & Sewer Authority is seeking applications from qualified persons to fill the position of fulltime Maintenance Worker/Plant Operator. The position is responsible for general maintenance and repair of the Sperryville Sewer Systems, including electrical, plumbing and mechanical components. In addition, the applicant must be willing and able to undergo training towards completing an Operator’s Ce’lification to fill in as an assistant Operator of the Sperryville Sewage Treatment Facility. Salary is negotiable based upon experience and qualifications. Benefits are included.

The successful applicant must be proficient in electrical, plumbing and mechanical repair & maintenance, having a demonstrated skill with machinery and tools. A strong ability to communicate with co-workers and the Authority Board, as well as to keep records clearly and consistently are also essential.

Applications, along with any accompanying material relating to training, must be submitted to the County Administration Office not later than Thursday, July 28, 1994 at 12:00 noon.

Applications will be considered by the Authority Board at their regular meeting of August 4, 1994, at which time interviews will be conducted with top candidates.
