The girls’ volleyball teams lost to Central Thrusday. The J.V. fell behind early on 10 to 0 before scoring its first point and lost that game 15 to 4. They had an early 2 to 1 lead in the second game, fell behind and kept struggling back but lost the second game 15 to 9.
The varsity played almost the reverse, putting in their best effort in the first game and coming as close as 11 to 7 before falling 15 to 7. In the second game they went down in defeat 15 to 2.
Both varsity teams will be playing in tournaments over the Christmas holidays. The volleyball team will travel to Madison Wednesday Dec. 28 for a one-day tournament, and the basketball team will compete in a several-day tournament at Shenandoah University.
