The Chorus has performed at Carnegie Hall and throughout the United States and in almost every capital city on its extensive tours to both Eastern and Western Europe. In 1990, the Chorus became the first group since before the Revolution of 1917 to sing a traditional coronation hymn of the Russian tsars, “Tebe Boga Khvalim,” in the Cathedral of the Assumption in the Moscow Kremlin where several tsars were crowned.
The Yale Russian Chorus’ last New Year’s Day concert at the Theatre, three years ago, was sold out. Reservations are suggested for the upcoming concert to be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1.
