By 10 a.m. most of that initial move had been completed and the primary teachers were left with whatever help they wanted to bring order out of the chaos that resulted.
In the second phase the vacated classrooms were cleaned and then other classes were moved into those rooms. General music got a classroom to itself as did art. The teachers have an entire classroom for a teachers’ lounge and workroom. Remedial labs and special education classrooms were moved. A homeroom was moved out of the math computer lab. Two classrooms that have been divided were left empty so the dividers can be taken out. One divided classroom has become two rooms for speech therapy. Another classroom was left empty in anticipation of the need to have a second class for the pre-school handicapped.
All three modular buildings in back of the school will still be in use for the rest of the year. The band
