Tasteless
To the Editor:
This letter is in regard to the “Dancing Bear” captioned photo on the cover page of the Dec. 14 issue of your paper.
I feel this to be an utterly tasteless, and poorly though-out representation. What could you have been thinking of? If a man is proud of himself for making a dead bear dance, well, that’s his business. You chose to present this picture in the same issue which announced an event benefitting the S.P.C.A.; including treats for the animals.
When a freshly-killed, dancing bear receives the “treat” of being front-page news, my feeling is that your priorities are highly in question. I am only offended, but a younger person could be more seriously affected by such recklesfinPQQ

This is a copy of a letter I sent to the Department of Environmental Quality in Woodbridge.
A River sings a beautiful song,
It says, come, rest here by my side.
Plant yourself beside the River...
The wild and scenic River of Hazel deserves our admiration and respect—not our sewage..
I realize that our civilization must strike a balance between “progress” and environmental quality.
