telephone company, elementary school teacher at Sycamore Park Elementary School in Culpeper and director of the school’s reading lab for five years. Her husband Glenn Piper has already retired after a career as a principal and teacher in Culpeper.
Following her retirement Mrs. Piper intends to continue her activities with St. Stevens Church in Culpeper where she is the vestry scribe, a member of the choir and assistant organist. She said she hopes to also have more time for crfeative writing and for reading. “I will continue all these things,” she said. She said she has also offered to assist the Rappahannock schools on a volunteer basis. She also expects to be able to spend more time with her children and grandchildren who are living in North Carolina and Georgia.
