,, The School Board asked Superintendent David Gangel to bring several “scenarios” for cutting between $150,000 and $200,000 from the 1995-96 budget to the board's work session next Tuesday evening.
They asked him to look at cutting aides to ride in school buses, consider using a part-time emergency medical technician in place of a school nurse, postpone work on rebuilding the fence behind the bus lot at the board office and around the baseball field, and consider taking out at least part of the position for a grant writer.
Chairman Beverly Massie said the board should try to come up with the $9,500 to install lights in the high school parking lot out of the current budget. They indicated they want to keep much of the money for teachers salary' increases in the budget, but not the entire five percent plus step.
