James Green Sr.

James Richard Green Sr., 49, of Chesapeake, formerly of Front Royal, died March 9 at De Paul Medical Center in Norfolk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at the Tumer-Robertshavv Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. John Pendleton.

Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery with military honors.

Mrs. Green was born April 6, 1945, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Claude Jordan and Maude Roberta Green.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are two sons, James R. Green Jr. of Front Royal and Damiem K. Green of Chesapeake; a sister, Viola Green of Front Royal and two brothers, George Russell Green and Charles William Green, both of Front Royal.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ashby, Mike Fletcher, Walter Fletcher, Jimmy Jordan, Massie Lewis and Edward Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lamont Bowden, John Downing, John Green, Ambrose Jackson Jr., Thornton Jackson and Wayne Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
