Benefit Auction Planned The second annual Spring Mountain School benefit auction, Saturday, April I will be held at the school on Mt. Salem Ave in Washington. Silent auction from 1 to 5 p.m. features bargain collectibles. Live bidding begins at 3 p.m. on everything from original art by Pulitzer Prize winner Jeff MacNelly to antique furniture, vacations, tennis lessons and many unique buying opportunities. Sealed bids accepted. At 5 p.m. auction-goers will be treated to Peggy Schadler’s Friends of Gaia debut of Persephone and Demeter.
Easter Breakfast at WVFD The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will have an blaster breakfast from 7-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15. The blaster Bunny will visit with children and an Easter egg hunt will be held after the breakfast.
Movies on Friday “In the Name of the Father” w ill be shown at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17. Admission is S5 for adults and S3 for children under 12.
Blitz, Building Weekend Set Rappahannock’s Habitat for Humanity is planning a “Blitz Building W'eekend” April 1 and 2 starting at 8 a.m. at the Shanks site. An organizational meeting for volunteers is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at the Library . Skilled and unskilled volunteers are still needed.

Concert Series Underway The Community Concert Association has two upcoming concerts, the New York Theatre Ballet will appear at the Culpeper County High School at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. The second concert, the Russian State Chorus will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 and also at Culpeper High School.
