Also surviving are one brother, Elwood W. Trammel; four sisters, Yolanda Trammel, Lori Trammel and Paula Watkins, all of Leesburg and Viola McLelland of Gaithersburg, Md. and a host of relatives and friends.
Mr. Trammel was a brick layer and a member of Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Brownsville.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 11 at Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Brownsville with interment at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln.
Pallbearers were John Middleton, Eugene Smith, Asbury Lloyd, 1 ommy Coleman, Charles Frye and Wallace Frye.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Lyles Funeral Service in Purcellville.
Blanche Kennedy
Blanche Doss Kennedy died in her daughter’s home an hour and a half past her 93rd birthday on March 6.
She was bom in 1902 in Handley, W.Va.
She was a book keeper for the Gallagher Coal Company Store, a devoted homemaker and a spiritual inspiration. She was also a poet and the author of Amazing Grace and Blazing Glory, the Adventures of a West Virginia Pioneer Woman.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Ann Hughes of Vienna; her son, Rex Kennedy Slack; her daughter-inlaw, Laurie Marshall and her grandchildren, Jeremy and Daniel Slack of Washington.
She was a frequent and beloved visitor to Rappahannock County.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 13 at' Truro Episcopal church in Fairfax.
