DeaiseHawkins, another mother, who said if she won the lottery she would buy the school a football team, j' Chairman John Tole said he had met with B.J. and Mrs. Lofton last week. He said the comments from principals and coaches at other small schools about the benefits of a football program for community support had impressed him. "My attitude has changed after seeing some of this. It's a means of bringing people together."

Piedmont District representative - Dennis Wingfield said they would l need to consider all the costs and do it ?■ right if they do it at all. "The only way to do it right is to have as complete a picture as possible so the people who control the dollar bills know you've done your homework."

Mr. Tole said, "It's a subject that bears more consideration. There are competing reasons to think carefully about this. We need to ask community members to provide feedback to this board about this matter."
