I have been asked to comment on chahges and differences from my day to yours. As I look around, many of the changes are amazing. What once were dense woods are now undulating fields of grass and grain filled with sleek and healthy herds of cattle. Steel ipules and other .modern machinery have replaced hired hands, and permit one farmer — working alone! — to raise enough produce to feed dozens.
What were a few log cabins is now a thriving village, with shops, eating establishments, and other industries. The sanitary facilities are inside the buildings — a most unfastidious thought at first, but most satisfactory once you get used to the idea, particularly during the cold winter nights.
