Help Our Neighbors
Once again employees of the county's Social Services Department are hoping the community will help them make the season brighter for their clients. They are collecting non-perishable food stuffs and donations of money to purchase other food and gifts. Some groups are adopting families, others are helping to provide gifts for the children under the care of the agency.
There is nothing in the Social Services budget that covers these extras during the holiday season. Only the generosity of the Rappahannock community makes this possible. Office manager Marie Davis said donations need to be in by Friday, Dec' 20, so that 1 employees can put together packages for each family.
