Help the Needy
Rappahannock's Social Services Department is hoping the community will once again come through with help for families in the community during the holiday season. Welfare workers are particularly looking for money and donations of non-perishable food. Donations need to be in by the end of the business day on Friday, Dec. 20. Send checks to RO. Settle Recognized
Ester Settle of Flint Hill was recognized by the Virginia Division of the American Cancer Society as one of the 1995-96 Volunteers of the Year. She was honored for her outstanding effort towards the agenda of cancer control at a ceremony in Richmond in November.
