Three people were indicted by the Grand Jury in Circuit Court on Monday.
Mark Edward Ferris, 32, of Culpeper, was indicted for three counts of breaking and entering and six counts of grand larceny, all felonies. He allegedly took numerous items, among them lawnmowers, chainsaws, a Remington rifle, weedeaters, a tent and a color television, from residents of Amissville and Flint Hill last year.
Amissville resident Pauline Scroggins, 49 years old, was indicted on four counts of forgery and one of fraud, all felonies. She allegedly forged checks on the account of John Tapp of Amissville and obtained money by false pretenses.
Clayton Harland McDonald, 34, of Bealeton, was indicted for possession of marijuana (a misdemeanor) and possession of cocaine (a felony). During a traffic stop by Deputy Chris Williams of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office, Mr. McDonald was arrested for driving under the influence. After a search of his vehicle. Deputy Williams found a brass-colored pipe under the car seat.
