Snow last Thursday and Friday, combined with high school exams this Wednesday though next Monday, have wreaked havoc with the high school sports schedule.
Competitions scheduled for exam week were canceled or rescheduled. "We want to make sure they get their studying in," athletic director Mike Tupper said. Practices were also cancelled for the same reason.

uled for next Thursday, Jan. 23, startfing at 7 p.m. It is starting later than [usual so the basketball teams will have an opportunity to practice before they start district competition at Manassas Part the next day.
The wrestling team will then also i compete the next day, Friday, Jan 24, ' in a quad meet at Brentsville.
A wrestling dual meet with George Mason scheduled for this Thursday was also cancelled because of exams. It will not be rescheduled, but Mr. Tupper said he was trying to get another meet scheduled for this Friday or Saturday instead, and people could check with the school's 'voice mail line to see if that happens.
The home volleyball match for both JV and varsity with Luray originally scheduled for this Wednesday was rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 20. This will make back to back matches for volleyball, as they were already scheduled to face district foe George Mason at home Tuesday.
The Junior Panther basketball team had. a game with Madison last Friday cancelled because of snow. That has been rescheduled for Feb. 6 and will be the last eighth grade game. Their home game with Madison next Friday is still on tap.
Varsity and JV basketball games with Madison scheduled for this Friday were also cancelled. Mr. Tupper said they could have gone ahead with these games since there are no exams the next day, but Rappahannock boys have not been practicing and "we didn't want to give Madison that advantage." Those games have been tentatively rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan 21. A game originally scheduled with Seton for Jan. 28 has instead been scheduled for Jan. 27.
