Coach Maeyer is impressed with the improvement they have shown.
"The big difference is they are a lot more controlled," she said. "There is not as much scrambling, and they are more controlled with their passes. We are trying to get them playing more aggressively, and they're gradually getting there."
She was impressed that 27 girls tried out for the team. She was able to keep 12 and says they all "show a lot of potential. There is not really a hole out there and no one is automatically starting. The most important thing is attitude.
"They are a great group of girls to work with. They play well as a team, i work hard and have fun too."
The varsity also lost to the Strasburg Rams, but Coach Laura Conklin said she saw improvement over their loss to the same team earlier in the season.
