To the Editor:
On behalf of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company, I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and making 1996 a successful year.
Also, a special thanks to those who supported us during our recent NASCAR raffle. The winning number was 032. The drawing was held on Saturday, Dec. 21. A very special thank you to Wayne Waller at the Ben Venue Market for paying for the advertisement and to everyone who helped sell them. We could not do it without everyone's help. We hope 1997 is a great year for you.

To the Editor:
We are most grateful to the 35 Rappahannock County residents who came to donate blood on Jan. 8 at the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
The Red Cross had issued an emergency appeal for blood, and we're thankful our faithful donors responded.
We also thank the Washington Volunteer Fire Department for allowing us the use of the Fire Hall once again for a bloodmobile. Their willingness to welcome the Red Cross Bloodmobile has allowed Rappahannock County residents to donate the "gift of life" for a number of years now.
Last, but certainly not least, we wish to thank Mrs. Alice Pullen for once again coming through with her delicious pound cake and chicken salad sandwiches to give to donors as a special treat. Thank you, Alice!
