Capiases have been issued for Mr. Ferris and „ Ms. Scroggins. Mr. McDonald is free on a personal recognizance bond.

Larry Egbert Embrey, 45, of Warrenton, was sentenced 12 months in jail on a trespass charge and six years in the prison on a grand larceny charge. Judge W. Shore Robertson suspended all of the sentences except for six months in the jail. Mr. Embrey paid $500 restitution to Elmer Atkins of Sperryville.

Mr. Embrey will be on five years unsupervised probation upon his release from jail. One of the conditions of Mr. Embrey’s probation is that he give truthful testimony to the Commonwealth in another criminal prosecution case.

Mr. Embrey will be entering a substance abuse program in the V.A. Hospital in Martinsburg. His attorney, Robert J. Hartsoe, said that his client needs to divorce himself from alcohol. Before sentencing, Mr. Embrey told the judge that he was very sorry, and that he wanted to stay sober and be with his family. '
