He also mentioned that the Thornton River bridge should be widened to permit foot traffic, particularly since the foot bridge is no longer there.
Moore replied that “our bridge inspection people are telling us that within the next two years we are going to have to do some renovation work on the truss bridge.” He encouraged Woodard to submit his recommendations to the district administrator.
Other residents pointed out that the proposed 200-foot (60 meter) center turn lane would be too short to handle the projected volume of traffic.
