The Rappahannock High School Cross Country team is iefeating other schools in the irea with excellent scores.
On Sept. 10 the boys team soundly defeated Loudoun Valley and Warren County, x)th rated as AA schools, on ‘one of the toughest courses in the state,” said Rappahannock Cross Country Coach David i/an de Graaf.
Chris Sause and Matt Wolfe finished the 3.1 mile course in first and second places, respectively. Warren County, who was told by their coach, “not to worry about Rappahannock,” finished third with 75 points, said van de Graaf. Loudoun finished second with 42 points and Rappahannock won with 26 points.
The Rappahannock Girls 'team finished second behind >the Warren County Team. Allj State performer, Meg I Fairbrother, finished fourth. Beth Yowell, Jessie Gheen, Rachel Sharp and Caroline Baumgardner earned top scores for their team.
