Sept. 27 against Culpeper B was lost 0-3. Hawkins complimented the players for coming together as a team. She said they have come a long way during the four seasons she has coached. The best part of the team is the good sportsmanship they have displayed even during the disappointing loss, she said.
The U-10 team coached by Tom Pendleton has many good players and they are full of enthusiasm but short on teamwork, he said. There are prob- | lems with the defense, but he said the team has a good offense and is excellent with ball-control.
Jay Monroe said the U-8 players who have played for several years are showing great improvement. He said at this age the games are more instructional than competitive. The teams are all doing well and he complimented the parents for being great supporters of the teams.
The U-10 teams coached by Ramey and Elizabeth LeeHarris were unable to be reached by press time, as well as the U-8 coaches Dennis Hathaway and Chris Batcheler and U-6 coach Jenny Leigh Yowell.
