Wolfe said the project involved about 80 hours of actual work, but he estimated the total to be 180 hours when adding time for planning, organizing and including help from other scouts. He said the achievement project is the main requirement for becoming an Eagle Scout.
He had helped on other Eagle projects, but this was the first time he had ever planned and completed a project himself. He has learned, he said, what it takes to carry a project to completion describing it as hard work.
The final stage of the project is filling out the Eagle Scout application form, sending it in to the Scouts’ Board of Review.
Wolfe belongs to Troop 36 of Washington and help for the project came from Boy Scouts Ryan and Matt Ralston, Aaron and Ben Price, Chad Heddleston, David Massie, Phillip Thomas and Matt Wolfe. Wolfe’s older brother, Mike, became an Eagle Scout three years ago.
