In a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in Second Presbyterian Church, Leslie Catherine Plowman and Nikolai Daniel Fisken exchanged wedding vows. The Rev. James Miller officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Norvell Neal Plowman Jr. are the bride’s parents. Grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Norvell Neal Plowman of Little Rock, Mrs. Howard Dudley Perry of Dallas and the late Mr. Perry and James Webb of Kerrville, Texas.
Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Fisken of Flint Hill. Grandparents are Mrs. Guy H. Curtis of Great Falls, Va., and the late Mr. Curtis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. Fisken of Milton, Mass.
Smilax and' white tulle with hydrangeas and Casablanca lilies covered an arch over the altar, which was lighted by spiral candelabra. Organist Betty Gibson and trumpeter Carl Mason accompanied vocalist Kim Hobby. Mark Mays of Jackson, Miss., read scripture.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a fitted sleeveless gown by Richard Glasgow. The bodice was overlaid with Alencon lace encrusted with beads and iridescents. Four layers of sherry white tulle formed the skirt, which flowed from a drop waist. She carried a European clutch bouquet of g;ardenias and stephanotis tied with sheer white tulle ribbon intertwined with her embroidered christening cap.
