Frank P. Bradley was honored on Oct. 5 with a surprise 90th birthday party at his home in Amissville.

Bradley was born Oct. 7, 1907 in Cashiers, N.C. On Sept. 8, 1930 he married Maude H. Baumgarner.

In 1937 the Bradleys moved to Arlington, where he worked as a carpenter until 1946. At that time he opened his own shop called Bradley’s Lawnmower Shop in Falls Church and operated the shop until retirement in 1969.

Following retirement Mr. and Mrs. Bradley moved to Amissville where they enjoyed gardening and Mr. Bradley continued to fix moWers for neighbors.

His wife of 69 years died in September 1989.
