Where have
you been?
On Nov. 3, my husband and
I went to the Washington courthouse where the Rappahannock Board of Supervisor’s Secondary Six Year Road plan meeting was being held. I’ve lived in the county all of my 23 years but had never attended a meeting of the board.
We went with our neighbors to have the supervisors accept our tiny subdivision road into the rural additions list to get it paved. It went fairly well for us even though we won’t see action until 2050 probably. At least we came away thinking we’d been there for a purpose.
I’m not quite so sure why some other people came other than to vent frustration over “the system.” I would never have expected there to be so many questions unrelated to the secondary road system.
There were several persons who had just moved here in the last vear or so who wanted to know how the whole process worked. Call the representative for your district another day and ask. The meeting was not the place to waste their time explaining to the unknowing.
For those who came with a grievance that they had never heard that paving was to be done on Route 621,1 feel sorry for you. Simply because I think most of you don’t read the newspaper or listen to
