Workshop planned

Laurie Marshall is offering a workshop in “Imaginative Painting” on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Public House in Flint Hill. Participants are asked to bring a story or a dream which is important to them. Watercolor and oil paints will be explored, with technical information being given in service of the creation of an unique and meaningful image. The cost is $55 for adults and $35 for students. The Public House will be providing lunch and some materials will also be provided. Call 6753267 to register.

Shots offered at Viewtown

The Rappahannock Health Department will be offering flu and pneumonia shots at Viewtown General Store Friday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For information call John or Margaret Wiese, 937-3249.

Healing Arts activities

Weekly Life Enrichment series will continue on Nov. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. with Mind/Body Medicine. The focus of this workshop will be on connection between our states of mind and the manner in which they influence our health. Lanise Waites, R.N. will offer both discussion and a demonstration of powerful healing visualizations.

Building a Healthy immune System for Infants and Kids will be held on Nov. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. Carol Lucking is the facilitator. Come join community members who want to share ideas and experiences with gentle herbs, homeopathy, vaccination information and other options.

Living with Arthritis workshop will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. A workshop exploring current treatment choices from a wholistic perspective. This afternoon workshop will be offered by Lanise Waites RNC and will include discussion, self-help techniques and demonstration.Cost is $25 and pre-registration is required.
