Labor Day closings
The Rappahannock County government offices, as well as the Rappahannock Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day.
The Rappahannock National Bank and F&M Bank in Flint Hill will also be closed.
The Rappahannock News will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4. Deadlines for the Sept. 6 issue will be on Friday, Sept. 1 at 3 p.m.
Happenings
• Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m., the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will meet at the Rappahannock courthouse. New agenda items include: Consumer Utility Tax Ordinance change; Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance change and Cole Family Foundation Donation.
There will be no 7 p.m. meeting.
• Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. the Rappahannock School Board will meet.
• Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m., the Washington Town Council will meet at the town hall.
