David Massie was tapped in as a 2000 4-H All Star at Congress. All Star is the highest honor in the 4-H organization.
The Congress theme, "4-H and You: The Combination to Unlock the World", reflects the goals of discovery, service and youth interaction through competition, helping the community, educational tracts, entertainment, and sporting events. The delegation was welcomed to Congress by both of Virginia's Land Grant University Presidents, Virginia Tech President Charles Steger and Virginia State University President Eddie Moore.
