Happy birthday to Almeda Hudson Armentrout of Hyattsville, Md. She was born Aug. 29, 1900, on a farm near Washington (county seat of Rappahannock County), where she attended public school.
She is the eighth (and only surviving child) of the 11 children of Thaddeus Herndon Hudson (1856-1930) and Mary 'Mollie Belle' Hawkins Hudson (18631934).
Her siblings were: Bertha H. Gillingham, Clayborne, Moses, Aubrey, Herbert, Taylor, Mattie H. Furr, Dewey, Lorena Hudson and Ethel H. Burner.
With her husband, Charles Lewis Armentrout (1895-1953) she moved to the Washington, DC area in 1922, where she has since resided.
Her descendents include Charles L. Armentrout Jr. (1925-1990), and Robert W. Armentrout of Hyattsville, Md.; six
