Family reunion planned
The family and friends of the late George Washington and Nancy Bolen Beahm will hold a reunion on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 11 a.m. until mid-afternoon at the Rappahannock Park at Washington.
Those attending should bring a covered dish and soft drink to share. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Coffee, plates, cups, table covers, plastic eating ware, etc. will be available. Karate classes to begin
Shorin-Ryu Okinawan Karate classes will be held beginning Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Ki Theatre in Washington. Jenkins reunion planned
Relatives and friends of the late Ada F. and Thomas E. Jenkins will gather at the Rappahannock Park on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for their annual reunion.
Music Festival dates set
The fifth annual Rappahannock Music Festival, a concert featuring local musicians, will be held on the weekend of Sept. 9 and 10 in Sperryville, rain or shine. The two-day festival is sponsored by the musicians, all of whom will be playing for free, and a 100 percent volunteer staff. This annual concert is free, including free parking and free admission. The relatives/descendants of John Henry Lillard are invited are invited to attend a reunion at the Flint Hill fire hall on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.

The Front Royal Oratorio Society and its Music Director, George Afnos will begin rehearsals for its 2000-2001 season on Monday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Front Royal Presbyterian Church. Prospective new members are welcome; no auditions required. Come and join singers from a six-county area!
Mr. Amos promises an outstanding season for singers and audiences alike. The first concert will feature the Gloria of Antonie Vivaldi and the Magnificat by John Rutter.
