The fund raiser is being held to furnish the new addition to the Historical Society on Gay Street.:.' Guests will be able to select from a: arochure those items that are needed to be purchased as furniture and equipment.
Ben "Cooter” Jones, the former 'Dukes of Hazzard" star and Georgia Congressman, and his wife Alma Viator, a top public relations specialist, have generously donated their talents and nine-member band for this fund raiser. So, too, have the daughters of the late James W. Fletcher, who own Montpelier.
They graciously have donated the use of their plantation house, which is located on Route 231, seven miles south of Sperryville.
