Jared Nieters will teach seventh grade civics/economics, and came to Rappahannock because he was "looking for a quiet place to settle down.” His philosophy is "to hold everyone to high expectations." Favorite book: Slaughterhouse Five.
David Roherts will teach sixth | grade special education, and enjoys sports and reading. He was educated at Radford University^ and last taught at the Northern Virginia Training Center.
Connie Thomas will serve as a library aide and help in the seventh grade computer lab. Thomas is a graduate of RCHS, and loves the county and working with children.
Fourth grade teacher Barbara Wheatley has an M. Ed. from Wichita State University, and ten years of teaching experience in Kansas, Texas and California. She and her family are here for "a change of life" and her favorite . . . her fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Robinson, who inspired Barbara to become a teacher herself.
At the high school, Angela Boubouheropoulos will teach ninth grade English and creative writing. She came to Rappahannock: to teach, I to escape Tidewater, and because it's a beautiful area.
Among her favorites are James Joyce’s Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, and a quote from Yoda, "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." Her teaching
