The annual 4-H State Congress, June 19-22 was well represented from Rappahannock. Zach, Ashley, and Nathan Corbin, David Massie, Ben Price, Houston Haynes, Mark Williams, Jeff and Jason Simeon, Ruth Ann Oyster and Jessica Manak were the 11 teenagers that represented Rappahannock. There were 600 youngsters and volunteer leaders from across Virginia who attended the convention held at Virginia Tech.

Ruth Ann Oyster and Jessica Manak both competed in the state talent show. They were in the vocal category but didn’t place.

"Dim Resistence", which is Ben Price, Houston Haynes and Mark Williams, played in the instrumental category with a song written by the group.
