Rosser Jenkins

Rosser William Jenkins, 52, of Chiefland, Fla. died at his residence on Friday, Aug. 18.
Mr. Jenkins was bom in Sterling, Md. and lived in Rappahannock County until he entered the Army. He spent time in Germany and Vietnam. Following his service, he returned to Rappahannock County for some time before moving to Florida.
Mr. Jenkins was a salesman with Keebler in Florida. He was a member of Lighthouse Church.
Mr. Jenkins was very active in prison ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jenkins of Chiefland; a daughter, Melody Jenkins of Germany; two sons, Michael Godwin and Rosser Jenkins Jr., both of Chiefland.
Other survivors include his mother, Mary Woodward of Martinsburg, W.Va.; stepmother, Ann Jenkins of Chiefland, Fla.; five sisters, Alice Deal and Susie Coffey, both of Boston, Daisy Huff of Martinsburg, W.Va., Linda Fillyaw of Newberry, Fla. and Janet Hammond of Chiefland, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Jenkins of Moniston, Fla. and Lester Jenkins of Gainesville, Fla. and a grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted on Aug. 20 with burial in Chiefland, Fla.
