Rappahannock News Photo/Barbara C. Wayland Twelve senior 4-H members and one 4-H adult volunteer leader attended State 4-H Congress on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg last week. Six of the senior participants were competitors. Lea Pyne placed first in the state public speaking contest and Robin Oyster placed second in the state vocal competition! Other competitors on the state level were David Massie in computer Power Point, Ruth Ann Oyster in dance, Jessica Manak in vocal, and Brian Taylor in instrumental. Jennifer Gray of Amissville was the adult volunteer. Other Congress participants attending were Ashley Corbin, Nathan Corbin, Andy Propst, Elaine Smith, Kori Alexander* and Katie Giles. We are very proud of all the 4-Her’s participating in the State 4-H Congress program.
