We’re glad to report that Harvey Tharp, brother of the Tharps of Aaron Mountain Road, has returned home, doing nicely and able to be back in church on Sunday. He had surgery in University of Virginia Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Swindler of Culpeper and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville were Tuesday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and Christopher. Previously Mrs. Frazier and Mrs. Atkins visited Mrs. Eunice Meade on Hash Lane, whose Sunday guest was Mrs. Laura Ruth Corbin of Fredericksburg.
Students from our area who graduated from Longwood College included Miss Rachel Michelle Dodd, who received a B.S. degree, cum laude in liberal arts and Miss Alice Younger Jackson, who graduated with a M.S. Degree in education.
Miss Dodd also received the president’s honor list for academic average of 4.0.
